Arrive Early for Your Exam

When you have an appointment at Advantage Diagnostic & MRI, you should arrive 15 minutes early so you have time to register, as you will need to complete several forms. You should bring your photo ID and insurance card. If you are a self-pay patient, you can pay by credit or debit card or cash.

The duration of your appointment depends on the exam being performed. Call us now to schedule your exam.

Prepare for Your Visit

  • Bring previous scans related to your exam
  • Take prescribed medication according to your doctor's instructions
  • Abdominal MRI, pelvic MRI, and MRCP patients must fast for a minimum of 4 hours before the exam
  • If you require IV contrast, you must fast for a minimum of 4 hours before the exam
  • Dialysis patients needing IV contrast should plan for dialysis within 24 hours after the exam
  • Patients needing sedation should arrange for transportation to and from our facility
  • Patients may be required to change into exam clothing — we offer secure lockers for your belongings

Most orthopedic pins, screw rods, and join replacements are MRI compatible. MRIs are not available for patients with pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. Contact us if you have any questions.
